The InterMediate sea kayaking course is run at two levels 1) Intermediate sea kayaking is the entry level and 2) Intermediate with 3* emphasis is the top end of this level.
With the InterMediate sea kayaking course you will be confident in the water, have a good level of fitness, sea kayaked on moving water before, some experience of tidal planning, plus paddling in Beaufort force 3 (13mph) winds as a minimum - ideal for those working towards the 3 star sea award or those who just want to be a better and more competent sea kayaker.
InterMediate Sea Kayaking course provides the essential skills, for paddling in bigger swell, faster water, while learning to blend strokes with efficiency. The ultimate goal of moving towards becoming self-sufficient, paddling your own trips and the 3 star sea personal performance award.
You’ll learn how to plan and approach tidal areas, whilst looking out for each other and really get that boat surfing! Just the course to enable you to gain confidence, skills and awareness in planing your future paddling trips and journeys. Moving towards being self-sufficient is the overall aim of this course.
Both courses run at various times throughout the year, and as long as there is two people the course will go ahead. The longer the course the more opportunity you have to experience different conditions around Anglesey and increase your ability, knowledge and confidence.

"I've just completed a two day 4* Sea kayak training course with Roger. Having been coached by Roger in the past, I choose to do this course with Roger because I knew I would get a great deal from the course. My expectations were certainly well and truly met"
"There are a number of wonderful things about Roger. He has a very light touch in his coaching, and he's always smiling and encouraging you to relax into the enjoyment of the day"
"And I'm probably learning more from his mentoring now, as my paddling horizons expand, than ever before. I can't count how many questions I've asked... and he's answered. Roger has the knack of making that suggestion that radically changes your thinking and moves your paddling on in leaps and bounds."
