Performance Psychology is an area which as sea paddlers we give little thought to. In the 10 years Roger has been running Coastal Spirit, this is one of the main areas that Roger feels holds paddlers back, from achieving their potential - emotion controls!
This course will introduce and expand on the psychological aspects of coaching and will help both the individual as a coach and also as a performer. It will be delivered in an understandable and practical way which should shed some light on this large subject area, 1st day theory, with active work shops, 2nd day on the water - Intermediate to Advanced paddler.
The theory day is a mix of power point, active work shops and discussion. An aim is to introduce and expand on the psychological aspects of coaching. The day is aimed at the individual, to further assisted them as a performer, in any performance and activity. It will be delivered in an understandable and practical way which should shed some light on this large subject area. This mean what ever activity you do, the day is relevant. Wether you climb, paddle white water, stand up paddle board or mountain bike. Performance psychology can help you to understand more, manage those emotions better and provide effective strategies to move forwards, with flow.
This is British Canoeing module and counts towards Continued Professional development (CPD), with the three year up-date.
