What is your job and briefly what does it involve?
I work as an outdoor educator & guide in different parts of the world. My work involves leading people from different ages & backgrounds, for different outdoor activities.
What 3 words would you use to describe yourself?
Curious, outdoor enthusiast, social.
What is your favourite & best stuff:
Playing in the outdoors, sketching, world cuisine, travelling and Balkan music.
What does sea kayaking offer you?
Sea kayaking is a great way to explore the coolest places&wildlife around the world. Challenging myself in an expedition teaches me a lot about myself.
When I am in the rough waters all my mind is actually in the present moment and I just love living those moments! It also brings amazing people all around the world together.
What have you achieved, to date through paddling with Roger and Coastal Spirit?
I am a paddler from Mediterranean waters. I have been in the tidal waters for the first time with Coastal Spirit. I gained a huge understanding of tidal movement and planning thanks to Roger. He is great at giving the right amount of challenge and information to each individual. It was a great progression. I recently achieved the Moderate Sea Kayak Leader Award (4 star) and I'm looking forward to doing my Advanced Sea Kayak leader (5 star) training (completed 10/2019) which wasn't even my goal before!
Why Coastal Spirit?
I think Roger reads people's skills and personalities very well, he will be telling you your blind spots by giving you some great feedbacks to push your skills further. He builds up the progression in a very smooth way and always amazingly supportive, patient and positive.
What are you looking forward to and where would you most like to paddle next and why?
I am looking forward to paddle in different parts of the world, possibly getting more rough water experience where I am not familiar with. I would love to paddle in South America and New Zealand.
Choose 3 words to sum up your time with Coastal Spirit?
Fun, challenging, supportive!
Great day with Sally working on boat handling, reading the water and its ok to feel uncomfortable.
Cemaes to Bull Bay was perfect, with wind with tide and then wind against by the afternoon so we got a few waves and a nice push along the coast.
It was nice to see Rob again too. Thanks for helping with the shutle!
Great team and super time on our Shetland Adventure with the tall ship Lady of Avenel Sailing. Otters, Puffins, Orca and MuckleFlugga!
Thanks to Zoe Robinson and Hamish Leslie for their support and inputs.

Surf & tide race course, with a good blend of dynamic water over the three days. With Rhoscolyn and the Beacon, Cemaes to Bull Bay via Middle Mouse and the Swellies. We had some super rock features on the north coast on Friday and just the right amount of swell. My highlight was this interesting water spout - it was so much fun!
It was a pleasure paddling with you all and thanks to Craig Young for his support.

P&H Sea Kayaks "There are a number of wonderful things about Roger. He has a very light touch in his coaching, and he's always smiling and encouraging you to relax into the enjoyment of the day"
"I've just completed a two day 4* Sea kayak training course with Roger. Having been coached by Roger in the past, I choose to do this course with Roger because I knew I would get a great deal from the course. My expectations were certainly well and truly met"
"And I'm probably learning more from his mentoring now, as my paddling horizons expand, than ever before. I can't count how many questions I've asked... and he's answered. Roger has the knack of making that suggestion that radically changes your thinking and moves your paddling on in leaps and bounds."
