Driftwood Designs

Driftwood designs and gifts are totally unique and individual, no two pieces are ever the same. Shaped by the sea, wind and weather, with their own journey to tell, having travelled many and, in some cases, thousands of miles. This means each driftwood design - although based on similar principles - is a one off, with variations in the colour, texture and shape, adding further to each item's distinctiveness and individuality.
The driftwood we collect is mainly by sea kayak from around the Lleyn Peninsular and Anglesey. Some pieces are stumbled upon, while working with individuals and groups and, at other times, specific days are spent paddling between coves and hidden beaches. What began as gifts for friends and family is now available for you.
Above are a few photos of a selection of driftwood designs and gifts. Our hand crafted designs range from mirrors, clocks, “t” light candle blocks, wall mounted coat/key/kitchen pan racks, table lamps and commissions. To enlarge a photo and see more detail, click on the one you are interested in.
Driftwood gifts are available in two ways. By arrangement during a Coastal Spirit course or delivered to your door by mail order.
Coastal Spirit aims to offer you a personal and effective service, providing a matchless collection of hand crafted gifts and home accessories that capture the essence of the sea and the coast of North Wales.
Delivery and our packaging:- Rather than go with a national company we have sourced a local courier, which can also provide a next day by 4pm service. Packaging is a necessary evil for any mail order business, but we aim to be as eco-friendly as possible with ours.
We use recyclable brown cardboard boxes. Delicate items are wrapped in recycled polythene bubble wrap, fully recyclable. We use proper old fashioned recycled brown paper, great for the compost heap and fully recyclable. All packages are then sealed with recyclable silicone free paper parcel tape that has a natural adhesive. Sometimes we also reuse packaging that has been sent to us.
Thank you for visiting this page and we look forward to hearing from you. To view our current range of stock, contact us and we will email you photographs with prices. Thank you.
